You are Responsible for:
PROGRAM LEADERSHIP
- Develops direction and leads the privacy, customer, and data protection program.
- Advocates for respectful use of technology and privacy and data protection practices across all markets and business units both nationally and globally.
- Works with market Legal, executive leadership, key business units, and committees to ensure the company has and maintains appropriate privacy and data ethics strategy when developing new business initiatives.
- Has deep understanding of local business model and compliance program touchpoints; integrates with business partners, staying current with business trends, initiatives, and strategy.
- Updates Program lead on program progress, gaps, and strategies.
- Drives a “one team” approach at market level by ensuring all stakeholders understand that an effective program must work at both local and global levels.
- Ensures appropriate escalation and communication of compliance matters to Program lead.
- Represents the company at internal corporate meetings, external industry events, and speaking engagements in accordance with global policy and required approvals.
RISK IDENTIFICATION AND MITIGATION
- Proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates privacy compliance risks, including risks relating to new or changing regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, industry practices, and business initiatives.
- Completes an annual risk assessment of the market’s privacy compliance program, consistent with global requirements.
- Conducts Privacy Impact Assessments for new technologies and projects.
- Develops and utilizes data, analytics, and metrics to identify risks and to measure and improve program execution and maturity.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
- Leads market efforts for the development and execution of the market program, governance material, policies, procedures, and external privacy notices.
- Ensures global program (policies, procedures, training) also satisfies local market requirements.
- Embeds privacy controls and ethical data use considerations into business operations and processes, including advertising practices.
- Assist business units with development of technology, tools, and methodologies to ensure on-going compliance.
- Works closely with Legal, Technology, Data Governance, and Information Security teams to operationalize and implement the program.
- Manages individual rights requests and privacy complaints.
- Maintains market data incident management program and manages market data incidents in coordination with the market incident response team.
MEASURE THE PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS – MONITORING AND RESPONSE
- Establishes, defines, and reports privacy KPIs via scorecard and drive performance in partnership with business, Global Privacy team.
- Aligns market privacy monitoring program with the global privacy program monitoring framework.
- Develops an annual roadmap of program monitoring activities on a risk-based approach.
- Develops annual monitoring test questions and coordinates with market’s Continuous Improvement team to test the effectiveness of compliance controls.
TRAINING AND AWARENESS
- Assesses market training needs.
- Designs annual training and awareness strategy and plans aligned to the global training and awareness framework and market needs.
- Develops and delivers required training, communication, and awareness to key business partners on Privacy Compliance and Digital Citizenship policies, procedures, and controls in alignment with the global Privacy Compliance program and market requirements.
